Find Out The Truth Concerning Diets And Weight Loss
So much for New Year’s resolutions! Many, many people vow on January 1 to take control of their lives, including losing that extra weight. They have good intentions, but many of their techniques set them on a course for failure. This is why it is key to find good weight loss programs.
Many weight loss websites make people believe that they can take a miracle fat burning pill or other weight loss drugs and sit on the couch eating pizza and drinking soda or beer and the pounds will magically fall off. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pills and other Weight Loss Drugs are a temporary, short term solution at best. The allure and claim of losing 20 pounds and 6 inches 60 days are deceitful. Many times you can actually reach these levels, but at what cost. If you wanted to keep your weight manageable for the next ten years, would you be willing to pop a pill several times a day for ten years? I wouldn’t either. However, many sincere dieters fall for the “quick fix” and take drugs without changing their eating habits. Once they are tired of popping the pills, or it becomes a financial burden, their weight will come back with a vengeance.
Still others realize that they will have to change their eating habits, but they get that wrong as well. Many diets don’t work and many are unhealthy and dangerous.
Any weight loss plan that requires you to eat from only a few food groups are to be questioned. The grapefruit diet, cabbage soup diet, low carb diet, and others are examples of this. I personally tried a low carb diet with decent results at the beginning. Over time I was craving carbs so bad that I was ready to kill for a cracker. You see the obvious problem with diets that suggest a single food source is palate boredom. How long could you eat cabbage soup for lunch and dinner? Even if steak and lobster were your recurring meal it wouldn’t last long. Furthermore, it is hard to get all your nutrients from one source. Therefore, you body will crave what its missing and will make your efforts futile.
Diets that advertise fast weight loss which require fasting or consuming very little calories is counterproductive. Your body is an amazingly efficient machine and is able to recognize dangerous situations. If you limit your caloric intake, your body will think you are starving and will attempt to hold on to all the fat it can for survival. If you don’t eat, you won’t lose weight very easy.
A healthy body and mind require us to take care of our bodies and to eat sensibly and maintain a healthy weight. When we become inactive or our metabolism changes we often put on some extra, undesirable pounds. Not only will it affect our self image, it can affect our overall health. Therefore, if you're ready to take charge, the web is full of weight loss solutions that can make your New Year's resolution a reality!
People who are searching through the web for more info about the topic of lose weight fast, then make sure to check out the web site which is quoted in this passage.
Super Brand Mall and Nanjing Road: Top Shopping in Shanghai
Good evening, my friends! I hope your week thus far has been a great one. It is officially my last day here in the wonderful city of Shanghai (it’s Friday morning already) and I am just amazed by what I’ve seen. Last night, my friend Emelie and I decided to brave the cold and explore Shanghai on our own. It was about 35 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a bearable cold, however the wind chill was simply mind numbing (almost quite literally!). We were expecting snow, but the rain only remained. At any rate, here are some shots of last night’s adventure…
After a short ride on the metro, we made arrived at Lujiazui, Shanghai’s largest shopping area. Lujiazui is the home of Asia’s largest indoor shopping mall, Super Brand Mall (top image, left). With a towering 13 floors of shopping, dining and entertainment, this gargantuan shopping center is a haven for the shopping spree aficionado.

Super Brand mall is home to a smorgasbord of retailers and is very inspired by the Western urban lifestyle. You can find Sephora, H&M, Zara, Quicksilver, Best Buy and many other American and European brands here.

Super Brand Mall is an impressive structure and definite place of interest when visiting Shanghai. Whether you want to treat yourself to a few new outfits and accessories, or simply want to experience the grandiosity of this mall, you won’t be disappointed.
However, if you really want to experience Shanghai shopping by night, head over to Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street, as well as the world’s longest and one of the world’s busiest shopping streets. This is Shanghai in all it’s bright and glowing glory. The promenade seems never-ending and the neon lights are reminiscent of Times Square-meets-Las Vegas.

Head on East on Nanjing Road and you will find that the neon lights die down, the road becomes less crowded (at least on cold, rainy nights) and you begin to really feel like you are half-way around the world. Small restaurants and shops with Chinese goods light your way, until you arrive at The Bund. Here I found a Taiwanese fashion house, Shiatzy Chen, with “neo-Chinese chic” designs. So elegant, wouldn’t you agree?

After crossing Zhonshang Road toward toward the Huangpu River, I found some hidden shops with traditional cheongsam dresses and similarly inspired styles.

Walking out in the cold, rainy night was exhausting, but it was all worth it in the end. It is at The Bund where you can enjoy a phenomenal view of the Shanghai skyline, with all it’s towering buildings and flashing lights. A trip to Shanghai is not complete without seeing this. It’s truly a treat for all, whether local or tourist. Spectacular, isn’t it?
