Now I Know My Vitamin C’s
Vitamin C is also know as L-ascorbic acid. The recommended daily dosage of this essential nutrient for adult humans is about 500 mg (thinking my daily glass of Sunny D is not enough). The consumption of this nutrient was
historically known to prevent humans from scurvy (Arrr!), and now, it is known that Vitamin C helps to promote a healthy immune system. Vitamin C has also become popular in over the counter skincare products because of its benefits for our skin. This antioxidant helps prevent clogged arteries. Vitamin C also helps protect skin against the growth of a substance that inhibits oxygen supply.
It is my new year’s resolution for me to increase my Vitamin C intake!
Make it yours too.

Note: I am not a doctor. These are tips and techniques that I have learned and believed. To find out a skin care routine that is perfect for you and your skin, you will need to consult with a medical professional. But feel free to think about how your morning glass of OJ is helping you stay beautiful!
